I am not a big DC comic follower but I can honestly say that I'm a big fan and follower when it comes to the DC animations and the DC animation universe, and this animated movie had an absolute WOW factor. IMDB gave it an average rating but for me it was beautifully done and a solid B for my rating. I can see why IMDB would give it an average rating due to the fact that I am sure this story is nowhere in the DC comic universe and it does have its ridiculousness. But if you're a Japanese Animation fan, every ridiculousness in this movie is what you would typically find in most all Japanimations you've ever seen. You'll find intense action, over exaggerated fight scenes and emotions, cute animals, a chibi pop up in one scene, a very beautiful Japanese animation cinematography and artistry, and shoot even MECHS! Transforming MECHS!! Everything you could find in a Japanimation fused with your favorite DC Gotham characters. Fantastic, fun, intense, and action packed. Story? Like I said it has its ridiculousness, but again as a Japanese Animation its acceptable. Heck there were moments where I paused and thought of a possible future cosplay as the Samurai Batman giving me a chance of actually doing a DC genre cosplay for the first time. But yes an animation that I will most definitely go back to watching again and again. The only things I've a had a problem with was the music which would've been great if it had a more epic "Hans Zimmer" "James Newton Howard" like score and though the voice actors who were in this movie did a superb job, it would've been even better if the original DC animation voice acting casts Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy returned to their delegated characters. But other than that a great "B" movie.
