Sadly I got to see this at home and not in theater. Must've been incredible on big screen with visuals so sharp, detailed, and fun to watch that you just can't help but to rewind a certain scene or easter egg appearance just to relish it over and over again. I would honestly call this movie an "Advertisement Movie," or "The Movie of Easter Eggs" due to the volume of so many different games, game characters, game consoles, movie&tv references, characters, vehicles, and most of many 70, 80, 90's pop culture. It almost replicates what Disney did with "Wreck-it Ralph." The movie was filled with these many things, and squeezed within these references and appearances is a E.T., Goonies type story plot. A group of kids banning together to protect their humanity by the forces of oppressive adults of the real world. Steven Spielberg, like many other directors and producers echoes much of their movies poetically similar. And here in this movie was a bit of a very lack lustered story, due to the fact of so many easter eggs that kind of distracted and hazed the story plot. But it wasn't a bad story. But besides this, the movie was really entertaining, and just FUN. I honestly leapt on certain parts of the movie where I caught many of my childhood and favorite EE appearances. Of these many appearances these were my absolute favorite:
1. "The DeLorean" DMC-12 from the Back To The Future. I was hoping to see it fly but unfortunately in the doesn't throughout the whole movie, but having to see every detail of the car from the fluks capacitor, time circuit(that even has the date of Oct. 26. 1985 when Marty first time travels from and to 1955), hover mode wheel convergence, the sound of the engine, and one small added feature that was never on the original Delorean in the movie BTTF. This was where I leapt, when spotting the red beaming scanner at the front grill of the DeLorean that was ripped off from K.I.T.T. from 1982 Knight Rider TV series.
2. Other cars that I saw during the race scene that put a smile on my face was the A-Team Truck, the original classic Batmobile, the original Mad Max car and the Bigfoot monster truck driven by the character Aech in this movie.
3. When Parzival starts showing off Aech's collections of ships to Artemis and mentions where the Harkonnen Drop Ship from on of my favorite sci fi movies "Dune."
3.  In Aech's garage I spotted a red ship in the background which is the Swordfish II from one of my favorite Japanese animation "Cowboy Bebop." Also a virtual toy of the Swordfish II is on the same table where the box of ships are on.
4. When Parzival activates the Zemeckis Cube and you hear the suspenseful chime from the Back To The Future.
5. The scene at Aech's crib within his garage when Parzival is changing into different outfits you'll see another DeLorean time circuit hanging by the bar, the original Mad Max I & II movie poster, a picture of Wil Wheaton, an actual Hover Board from BTTF.
6. The traffic of ships heading into the Distracted Globe world where Parzival goes to meet with Artemis at a night club there; An X-Wing, Tie-Fighter and the Shuttle Tydirium from Star Wars, the sound of a Tie-Fighter flying by, the drop ship from Aliens, and I believe the flying cop car from Blade Runner(have to double check if it is or not).
7. Artemis' primary weapon is the M41A Pulse Rifle from Aliens. Love that weapon. And she uses the Lawgiver II from Judge Dredd.
8. Parzival also rocks a Thundercats logo on back belt buckle.
9. Final battle at Castle Anorak; A He-Man, Gremlin, Spawn, and Chucky!!!
10. When Iron Giant gives a thumbs up as it sinks completely into the lava, as a direct reference to Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator in Terminator II The Judgment Day.
11. And Finally my all time favorite the RX-78-2 Mobile Suit Gundam!! From the original Gundam series.

Like I said the movie is fun to watch, and definitely something you can watch again on a boring day with nothing else to do. Steven Spielberg has definitely done a great job bringing us Nerd addicts such a diverse and nostalgic packed movie.
