My Very First Freshly Caught Shiny Pokemon

I've been playing Pokémon since I was 17yrs old and since I have not ONCE caught a legitimate shiny Pokémon. I have gotten ones that the games directly gave opportunities for you to catch, but never caught one on the fly. And the odds of catching one is 1 in 8192. Today marks the day that I got this Shiny Excadrill while playing Pokémon Black 2, and I am pretty happy about this catch since I've heard from others how they caught a shiny that's not of their liking, and it so happens that Excadrill is one of my favorite Pokémon. So....FINALLY. A good catch today. Who would've guessed I would get one by playing one of the older games.
